Since the night at Laban Rata, right before reaching Low's peak at Mount Kinabalu, and on that fateful night at MacRitchie reservoir... 1 March 2009 means so much to me - for it's that night where my dear and i agreed to embark on a journey together...
Berkelah falls was a blissful trip for us. Hiking up to the waterfall, taking the more difficult path, attempting to search for the perfect campsite (based on dear's memory), looking up at the waterfall, camping after a cooling swim in the water, cooking tonkatsu ramen and drinking hot milo, hiking out and dear forgetting that there's a small hut opposite the twin falls, seeing a drinks stall right at the entrance and pouring kickapoo (according to dear, u'd have to pronounce it as kickapo - don't ask me why but that's the way it is) down our parched throats, taking the bus to cherating beach, ending up in the chalet room instead of camping on the beach, failing to see stars or catch the sunrise, taking memorable photos on the beach, eating the best mee goreng ever - these are wonderful memories created, and i will never forget the feelings and emotions that come with them.
Presents may seem common to any couple, but it's the simplest action of buying little gifts and daily necessities along the way that is actually the sweetest. thank you dear, for buying durian for mama, for treating my mum and bro at dempsey road's long beach, for treating my dad to his birthday dinner at international building's rice table, for buying medicine for me and driving me to see the doctor during those times when i felt ill and unwell.
More trips to come, first the dive trip to redang, and then back to the States! I am so desperate to hike the grand canyon with you, for i want u to share the same exhilarating feeling that i've once had last year. i'm sure you will understand why i am so attracted to that place..the grandeur of it..
i'm really thankful to have such a loving and caring and understanding boyfriend like you..you entering my life is like seeing paradise falls right before my eyes...breathtaking and bliss.
